The Royal Heraldic Beats surrounding the goblet's foot beneath the Founder's Crown stand in order of succession of the five kings they represent. The Lion of England present the Ostrich Feathers of Henry VI. For Edward IV, the Yorkist Sun in Splendour is held by the Bull of Clarence, through which he claimed the throne. Richard III's Boar holds the White Rose. The Crowned Portcullis with the Tudor Dragon is assigned to Henry VII and the Crowned Tudor Rose with the Beaufort Greyhound to Henry VIII
